As a mental health counselor, it is important for me that we have a rapport and safe space. I firmly believe in finding a counselor that is a "good fit" and encourage dialogue if that is not the case. YOU feeling heard, being seen, and having a safe environment is my priority.
I focus on a foundational approach of building rapport, working on coping strategies, and meeting individual needs.
As a Child Centered Play therapist, my approach to working with children is making sure they feel safe and have space for anything they need to say. I never push, trusting in the process of counseling while working on coping strategies and resiliency.
Areas of focus and experience are: ADHD, Trauma, Anxiety, Parent-Child relationships.
